Shark 003 I
Shark 003 I x 900 Wide.jpg

This is one real totally unique shot and in all probability has never been photographed before. I have discussed this image with a leading Government Marine Scientist who agrees that this shark is ‘powering up’ with such force that the water is boiling (as in a kettle) from the low pressure side of its tail producing the tube of bubbles of steam beautifully captured in the following wave. This phenomenon which is often associated with boat propellers is called cavitation. A Wonderful combination of the dorsal fin slicing through the water, the ghostly image of the shark below, gorgeous deep blue water and a glassy calm and beautifully glossy ocean superbly reflecting light.

An exceptional print.
