Australian Gannet 002

This Australian gannet displays an amazing wing configuration used for speed dives onto baitfish.  One can sense how focus this bird is on its target. Beautiful snow white adult plumage.  Images like this are insanely difficult to attain. For ultra high speed dives gannets can dislocate their wings and configure an inverted coke bottle shape (Print 001) and reportedly attain speeds as high as 145 kilometres an hour.
